From Labs to Laptops: Facilitating the Transition to Anytime, Anywhere Learning
Co-presenter, Julie Haney, Technology Facilitator at Avoca West, District 37.
While some New York schools recently reported giving up on laptop programs, many more districts are addressing the challenges associated with mobile laptop carts and one-to-one initiatives by hiring technology integration specialists to bolster teacher confidence and ignite creativity. This presentation focused on the role of the tech facilitator/coach and their experiences working in districts committed to anytime, anywhere learning.

IL-TCE Conference 2008 Social Technology Presentation
Thanks for your interest in my session, Social Technology: Overcoming Educational Obstacles. I presented several videos from web sites that can be used to spearhead discussions about appropriate and safe use of social networks and web 2.0 tools. Most of these sites have lesson plans and activities. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me.
